Quick Video Homework: HE IS RISEN!
This week, we want videos of everyone shouting "He is risen!" You can text these to 412.219.2503 or email them to Pastor Charissa. We need them by Noon on Saturday.

Passing the Peace
There are still many of you who haven't passed the peace yet. We're adding folks each week as we get more videos. Just send one in of you saying, "Peace be with you." You can text these to 412.219.2503 or email them to Pastor Charissa.

Witnessing God at Work
We are taking photo and video submissions of where you are seeing God or goodness in the world around you right now. You can text those photos or videos to 412.219.2503. If you aren't able to do video or photos, you can submit a written testimony on the church website.

Virtual Choir for Easter
Please text or call 412.219.2503 ASAP if you are interested in joining the virtual choir for Easter Sunday morning. You will receive information from Pastor Charissa and Music Director Tom shortly about how to participate.

Lay Readers:
Go to the signup form online and choose 1-2 sections of the service for whichever weeks you'd like to submit a video for. Pastor Charissa will email you the readings by Monday or Tuesday before the Sunday you chose, as well as instructions for texting or emailing her the video.

Special Music:
Go to the signup form at the button above and choose a Sunday. Pastor Charissa will send you information on how to submit your video. We cannot use other performers' YouTube videos. We would like to see and hear you sharing your own musical talents.

Helpful Tips for Worship Videos:
We know. This is all new and weird, but you're doing a great job! It's so wonderful to see familiar faces "at" church on Sunday mornings! Keep the witnessing, lay reading, peace-passing, and other videos coming! If you haven't tried sending in a video yet, feel free to call or email Pastor Charissa for advice/instructions.

Here are some helpful tips for filming:
  • Film with your phone sideways, not up and down. This is a much better aspect ratio for the YouTube video.
  • Try to keep your phone/tablet at roughly eye level. You'll look your best if you're "eye to eye" with the camera.
  • Speak clearly and loudly. We can adjust the volume a bit in post, but it's better when we don't have to.
  • Try to avoid places with lots of background noise.
  • Bright lighting that comes from behind the camera is best when possible. Outdoors on a nice day is probably the best lighting possible.
  • Bonus points if a pet "helps".

March Volunteer Opportunities

3/22/2020

March has been a wild ride and we really only have three volunteer opportunities right now.

First, please keep in touch with you church family WAY more than normal. This is a job we're asking everyone in the congregation to band together and do.

Second, be looking for God at work in the world around you. Click the button below to submit a written testimony OR you can text a video testimony to 412.219.2503.

Finally, we need worship leaders. You can sign up using the link below to be a worship leader for the next few weeks. Choose a piece of the liturgy you'd like to do and which week. You can sign up for multiple pieces, but try to spread yourself out over a couple weeks so everyone gets a chance. I will email you any readings, prayers, etc that are a part of that portion of the service, as well as how to get the file to me once recorded.. You just set up your phone or computer to video yourself and read the part, then send it to me. I'll do the rest!

Thanks for your creativity and cooperation, friends!

Blessings,
Pastor Charissa
